I love my Barbara Karst Bougainvillea. It has to be one of the brightest plants I have. Since most of my plants are cactus…I guess it is fairer to say that it is my brightest pink vining plant. I sure do not want to hurt my cactus feelings, because they have awesome flowers.

Anyway, here are 2 pictures of my Barbara Karst Bougainvillea vine as they are reaching for the sky. They love the sunshine, even here in the desert. They live in pots and sit in full sun.

As you can tell in this picture, the flowers are bright pink. They really show up against the true green leaves and woody stalk.

Las Vegas is not known for cloudy or over cast days, notice there is not a cloud in the sky. I bet I was hoping for a few clouds on that day.

If you get the chance to have one of these wonder plants in your yard, you should give it a try. They are a burst of beautiful bloom!
