Give kids a pumpkin, paint and a variety of vegetables to see what they can come up with. That’s right; they can make some pretty creative jack o lanterns.
The pictures of these Jack-o-lanterns were taken at Nash’s Organic Produce in Sequim, Washington. On October 6, 2012 they were part of the annual Sequim Farm Tour. Kids were able to pick a pumpkin and show their creative side. Nash’s is a huge farm and had plenty of produce including corn on the cob, vegetable tops and a variety of other things to make some of the cutest and scariest pumpkins you could ever see on Halloween.
Most of the kids we saw working on pumpkins were pretty little, so parents were helping with the cutting.
I only got pictures of a few of the “pumpkin creatures”.
Gone are the days of just cutting out a face…now you need an entire vegetable stand to make the perfect jack-o-lantern for Halloween.
